About Me

Hello there!

I am a former finance professional and real estate professional in a former life, I am a self-taught mixed-media, collage, and assemblage artist living in Atlanta, Georgia.

However, my most important project at the moment is building on the Chai Spy ® brand which is a collaborative project with my daughter, Ayelet Ribakow who wrote the text for our book. Looking to license the art for the Jewish gift industry and art exhibitions for children and adults in Jewish venues.

As a wife, mother, daughter, friend, and artist my work is a reflection of my life and all of the things that inspire me.  My love of spirituality, nature, and a strong desire to “give back” are the things that influence my creative process.

Born and raised in the United States, but having lived, worked, and travelled extensively in Europe, I enjoy drawing on those personal experiences and adventures as part of my story telling.  I am a dog lover and a fierce advocate for pet adoption.  A percentage from the sales of one of my collections is donated to support this particular cause.  There are many other worthy causes that I also support through the sales of my other creations.

Since I was five years old I have always played with, and sometimes made a complete mess of all sorts of art supplies. From the orange shellacked collage I decorated on my mother’s laundry room door to the hand made pottery I made as a young child, I have always enjoyed creating new and imaginative objets d’art.

I am a member of the American Guild of Judaic Art, Women’s Caucus for Art, WCAGA Chapter, Atlanta Collage Society, National Collage Society, and the International Museum of Collage, Assemblage, and Construction.

This website was created with you in mind.  You will not only find my art, but also my thoughts and ideas about living artfully, creatively, joyfully.  I’ll be sharing those things that inspire me.  Please join me on my journey.  I hope that you, too, will be inspired.

Clients have purchased my art for various life cycle events including the baby gifts, bar/bat mitzvah gifts, graduation gifts, wedding gifts, anniversary gifts, birthday gifts, holiday gifts, housewarming gifts, and home decor.

My art is sometimes serious, oftentimes whimsical, but almost always thought provoking. Using found objects and other embellishments, my artwork is multi-dimensional and is known for its detail and creativity as well as for the wide variety of embellishments, colors, and textures.  I enjoy combining numerous elements in unexpected and surprising ways.  In fact, I will use any materials that will spark the imagination hoping to get a response from the viewer to what I call my “whimsical, happy art” that tells a story.

Hunting for found objects and tiny treasures to incorporate into my art is one of my very favorite things to do.  You will often find me in antique shops, thrift shops, and garage sales.  However, most days you will find me busy at work in my home art studio.  Of course, one of the best things about working from home is being able to work in my bunny slippers because nobody is looking!  Now, if I could just figure out how to move Atlanta closer to the beach…

C’mon…let’s get started and have some fun together.  It is my hope that my art will bring you joy and that you will want to share it with others as well.

…and always remember, “it’s the little things that mean the most.”™
